X5 misfires. Hello everyone, new to this forum. I have a BMW X5 4.4 with some issues. It started with a cylinder 8 misfire and now has misfires on 1, 4, 5 and 8 ( the four corners of the engine). I have checked the plugs (little carbon) and swapped coils, but get the same codes on the same cylinders. Is there something that controls or affects For 2008, X5 upgrades have re-focused on sport. Both the six-cylinder and V8 engines are new, with a revised six-speed automatic transmission. The V8 in the BMW X5 4.8i increases in displacement, while the 3.0-liter inline six is an all-new design, with a substantial increase in power. These are BMW engines, which means plenty of usable torque Typical problems in the BMW X5 (E53) Minor defects in equipment (wiper, locks, parking sensors, sunroof) Quite low durability of automatic transmissions. Rather low durability of xDrive. Equipment faults typical for diesel engines (note the flaps in the inlet) Deficiencies in the timing area of gasoline engines. Capricious electronics. Codes: Misfire Detected all cylinders except #4, Cylinder Deactivation System (Bank 2); codes pulled from Bosch Enhanced ODB I & II Scanner at local parts store. MIL: Engine light, static and/or flashing. 2009 X5 (E70) 4.8 (N62) 108k miles. I've had none of these issues before now except a rough idle at startup about 2-3 months ago.
Overall Reliability. We expect the 2024 X5 will be much more reliable than the average new car. This prediction is based on the 2022, 2023, and limited 2024 models. The 2009 BMW X5 has been
